Bath & Body Works and Fiscal Responsibility

If you are a girly girl or aspire to be then it's safe to assume you like pretty things like me. It is  probably also safe to assume that there is a specific industry with a specific set of items that you'd be willing to blow your whole check on if you could. What's your poison : makeup? shoes? Pretty dresses? Heels? Hair products? Accessories? Purses/handbags? Designer clothes? Lingerie? Perfume?! The last one is mine. I LOVE perfume and perfumed things! Eau de parfum, mists, sprays, anything from Bath and Body Works or L'Occitane , body butters and lotions, fragrant satchels, the list goes on... Sometimes I used to just walk into Bath and Body Works to give my nose a smell-cation. I'd just be standing there in the aisles, with my eyes closed and a goofy grin on my face. It's weird, I know. But just thinking of those times makes me happy, lol! Whatever our girly-Kryptonite is, we have to make sure we are spending in a way that honors our families and k...

Feminine Lifestyle Quickie: Ways YouTube Can improve your Feminine Lifestyle

Image
At this point there must be an informational video for absolutely every topic and subject known to man on YouTube. So, why not use YouTube to your Feminine advantage? Instead of spending hours in front of the traditional "tube" check out YouTube and watch videos and movies that will actually make a difference in your life and lifestyle. Before you begin, write out a list of your feminine goals for the rest of the year: we are about 5 months and 4 days shy of New Year's Eve. When writing these goals think MIND, BODY, SOUL. Here's a sample: MIND: Recite affirmations daily, Work on submission and being vulnerable, Memorize one bible verse a week, Read or Listen to The Power by Rhonda Byrne (book available on Audible), try something new every week, think of ways to earn more money, Read one new book on femininity or marriage a month BODY: Talk less, listen more; Walk 3 miles every morning; do body sculpting exercises 3x/week, Get 6-8 hours of sleep nightly, schedu...

Feminine Lifestyle Quickie: Positive Reading List

#9 on The Feminine Grace List recommends reading 15-25 pages of positive material to help get your mojo back in times of upset and stress. I want to go further and suggest that you read 15-25 pages of positive material EVERY day. Reading positive material should become a habit. For one, it keeps us motivated and focused on our goals, dreams, and successes, as opposed to perceived failures, present problems, or past disappointments. Secondly, any issues we are experiencing can be overcome with more information! When we know better we can feel better, do better and live better. And living better is what this blog is all about. The books that follow have inspired me and I hope they inspire you. So, without further ado, here's my list: 1. The Bible 2. Fascinating Womanhood by Helen Andelin 3. The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace Wattles (free Ebook available) 4. Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill ( or listen to Earl Nightingale's synopsis of it here:  Earl Nightingale...

The Graceful Representative List

When I think about feminine grace, I think about the 1950s housewives shown on tv: always smiling, flitting about their tidy homes in pretty dresses and pearls: serving, smiling and totally unbothered.  Your husband may currently be an average Joe, a great and powerful man or somewhere in between. Either way, as his wife, you hold his image in your perfectly manicured hands, so use your power wisely sisters. How can you be your family’s graceful representative? Here are a few ideas: 1.        Ensure you are at an optimal weight so you can be helpful and feel pretty. Excess pounds typically make us feel uncomfortable and this prevents us from being our best selves. 2.        Dress in a feminine way (wear feminine colors and soft, flowy fabrics) 3.        Wear heels 4.        Wear light makeup and accessories 5.      ...

The Beginning

Image
Last year, after hearing what seemed like the one millionth report of another innocent black man being slaughtered by the police, I fell on my knees in distress. “Why God?!” I cried. “Why do black people suffer so much in this country? Why do we keep getting murdered and no one is held accountable? Why are we always in lack, in trouble, in distress?” And then my cries turned to angry rant “And our president does nothing, He is brown and aware of our struggle yet it doesn't seem like he cares or can help us. Who will help us?! Why can’t another leader be raised up to get us out of this mess?! I’m tired of it Lord. It’s just not fair. I am sick and tired of it! What are we supposed to do?!”  God heard me and he gave me peace after that prayer. But I was still on my knees because I truly wanted an answer to all of my requests. Finally, the Holy Spirit moved me to ask, “Lord, what can I do to help?” The answer would come within weeks.   I could help the black com...

The Feminine Grace List

Life can be difficult and filled with lots of stress. If single, marrying a good, masculine man will ensure our femininity stays high. Under a husband's protection and provision we can be our happy, feminine selves. Oh and I am well aware that marriage is hard work and can make you a Negative Nancy too. The BIG difference is that when the calm comes, married women have a lover. Single gals (who date for marriage) have a pillow. But whatever your marital status, the list that follows is a guide to keep you positive, smiling and deliciously feminine* when anger, sadness or stress try to make you their servant... 1.         Take a bubble bath, complete with calming music and fragrant incense or candles 2.        Go for a walk or jog : fresh air works wonders for our minds,  bodies, and spirits 3.        Drink a glass (or two!) of wine 4.        Watch a come...
